    POSITION: EVENT PRODUCTION – PRODUCTION ASSISTANT
    REPORTS TO: Event Production Associate Manager
    SUMMARY: Assist with various EP duties leading up to and throughout the event – preproduction calls and
    meetings, general office duties, editing, logging tape, testing equipment, research, assisting with webcast
    production, staff logistics, and other duties as assigned.
    The Event Production department is responsible for the overall event technical and live event content at X Games.
    We produce and coordinate all elements of the onsite show by entertaining, educating, and engaging the
    spectators and athletes, while integrating with TV Production. Some of the technical elements Event Production
    oversees includes: power, audio, video, lighting, and intercom systems. In addition to the technical side, Event
    Production oversees the programming elements which include: venue directors, host & sport announcers, ENG
    crews, DJ/music, video programming, any special performances, medal ceremonies, sponsor promotions, message
    boards, and the X Games webcast hosted on our Facebook page. This person would be responsible for assisting in
    various areas as it relates to Event Production.
    Responsibilities
    ‐ Assist with compilation and distribution of Event Staff information and documents.
    ‐ Assist with fulfilling Event Staff services not limited to flights, hotels, radios, credentials, payroll and or other
    needs.
    ‐ Assist with coordinating day‐to‐day EP office functions, tasks, and requests once on site in Aspen, CO.
    ‐ Assist with X Games Music Library upkeep. Research music trends and charts, keep music library up to date and
    radio edited, assist with collecting and fulfilling athlete music requests, assist with editing music, assist with
    compiling music playlists, and other music duties as assigned.
    ‐ Assist with gathering and distribution of research and other production materials for X Games EP Event Staff.
    ‐ Assist with Research Notebook production needs for Venue Teams. Gathering and putting together research
    documents, production of Research Notebooks and shipping of Research Notebooks.
    ‐ Assist with ideas and execution of Sponsorship and ESPN brand promotion/integration into the X Games event
    and or media platforms.
    ‐ Assist with ordering and inventory of departmental supplies and equipment.
    ‐ Assist with any special projects throughout all stages of production within X Games.
    ‐ Must know how to or be willing to learn to log tape, operate all playback and recording audio and video devices
    including, Digital Beta, DVD, CD, MP3 players. Assist with compiling and fulfilling any dub and or footage requests.
    Basic editing on final cut pro.
    ‐ Assist with any needs for the webcast.
    Qualifications
    ‐ Should be organized, detail oriented and able to handle multiple tasks. Assist with various office duties to include
    but not limited to: filing, copies, internet research, data entry, etc.
    ‐ Must be proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
    ‐ Live event and production experience, knowledge of action sports/lifestyle, social media and music trends a must
    ‐ Video Production experience. Knowledge of basic media equipment operation and software experience a plus
    (video camera, Final Cut, Photoshop, etc.)
    Preferred Start and End Dates – Week of November 21 2011 – February 4 2012 (Winter X Games 16 event days
    January 26‐29, 2012)
    Hours Per Week
    November 21 – January 2 Part Time hours 16 – 24 hours a week (hourly rate). January 9 – February 4 Full time
    hours 40 + hours a week including weekends and on site in Aspen, CO (hourly).
