Could Veterans Be The Perfect Franchise Owners?

Members of the military have never been the 9 to 5 type

It shouldn’t be surprising then that a new study from the small business administration found that veterans are 45% more likely to become entrepreneurs than their non-military civilian counterparts.

It makes sense. Veterans are used to handling stress, taking risks, absorbing setbacks and charging forward when the timing is right. What better description of a successful business owner?

    Franchising Appeals to Veterans
Veterans who are ready to step out of their combat boots and seek an entrepreneurial opportunity may want to consider franchising. In fact, they may be uniquely suited for franchising, which marries the freedom of entrepreneurship with the organization and discipline of a proven system.

Veterans may be surprised to learn how many franchising opportunities exist. They can open restaurants, work from home and even provide training and management services. Many of the skills that the military teaches - discipline, strategic thinking, risk analysis - also translates into business success in the civilian world.
