    CACI has an immediate opening for a Technical Writer to perform the Fleet Assistance Shipboard Training (FAST) tasking supporting the Mine Counter Measure Class Squadron (MCM CLASSRON) at Naval Base Point Loma, San Diego, CA. The Technical Writer will be assigned to the MCM CLASSRON Process Improvement and Productivity code. Responsible for converting ideas, meeting minutes, Requirement Statements (RS), and Concept of Operations (CONOPS) into written deliverables to support MCM CLASSRON policy and directives. Requires constant liaison with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) on concept/process/procedural clarifications, storyboarding, flow charting, and related training and briefing product development.
     
    Required Qualifications: Must have a current DoD SECRET Security Clearance to qualify.
     
    Education: Bachelor's degree in English or related academic field. As a substitute, eight years of "hands on" experience in technical writing and editing may be utilized.  If candidate has a two-year degree in English, or a related academic field (AA), they must have four years of experience in technical writing and editing.

    In addition to any experience, which is substituted for education (above), candidate must have two years of experience in technical writing, proofreading, editing techniques, and multimedia development. The ideal candidate will be a former Navy Logistics Specialist (LS) - (formerly Storekeeper) or Supply Corps Officer. To accomplish the required duties, the candidate will draw heavily from experience gained from past shipboard and shore based assignments.
     
    Desired Qualifications:
    Excellent comprehension, communication, technical writing, and training curriculum development skill set. Familiarity with Naval logistics and Automated Supply Management system desired.
     
    Familiarity with Microsoft SharePoint: Necessary to properly administer SURFORWEB Class Advocate Website in order to facilitate promulgation of task force/working group product throughout applicable user groups.
     
    Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, and Access): Required to mine and manipulate reports from NAVSEA, FLTMPS, and other prime providers of ship class data reports.  Can be a discriminator during the selection process.
