B. Deck Plate Management - 351807
The candidate will manage cost, fixed price and T&M type subcontracts.  Daily shipboard interface with multiple cost plus and fixed price subcontractor program managers.  Ensure subcontractors are in compliance with BAE terms and conditions- ethics, safety, environmental, quality assurance and security requirements. Ensure subcontractors provide resources and equipment to support awarded work items.  Review all CFR/IDR reports prior to submittal and ensure timely submittal.  Ensure as found reports, required PCP’s and test inspection plans are submitted in a timely manner.  Review all cost reports on a weekly basis to ensure cost controls and evaluate cost trends.  Attend all cost report meetings.  Ensure subcontractors attend all required planning and production meetings.  Maintain compartment close-out data.  This individual will be the primary contractual point of contact for dealing with deck plate subcontractor issues.  Provide subcontractor ongoing evaluations base on contract avail progress of 25%, 50%, 75%, and 100% using the CPAR criteria.  Microsoft Office skills required (Excel, Word, and Outlook). Must be able to work independently and multi-task. Must have basic knowledge of FAR/DFAR and UCC. Provide technical oversight on all ship repair work and liaison with customer providing technical solutions to engineering repairs. Specifically responsible for reviewing specifications, ensuring their technical accuracy, providing deck plate oversight and engineering solutions to complex technical issues.  Must be able to document solutions and provide technical reports for customer review. Additionally, the position requires interface with NAVSEA and NSSA engineering, establishing credible relationships while providing sound technical solutions to engineering repairs to Navy ships under our contract. Responsibilities:
•           Follow general inspection guidelines to conduct critical visual, dimensional, and possible functional inspections on electrical connectors and cable assemblies.
•           Perform electrical tests as required by the Company and/or customer specifications.
•           Read and understand blueprints, schematics, industry and company standards, military and federal specifications and standards, and company procedures for inspection purposes.
•           Annotate and file test reports, check lists, dimensional reports, and logs as required.
•           Interface with engineering staff, QC and/or QA Manager on interpretation of blueprints/schematics and obtaining disposition of rejected items.
•           Contact production staff and/or vendors as needed concerning rejected items.
•           Provide inspection support as needed.
•           All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
•           High school graduate or equivalent
•           Minimum of 2 years experience/work history directly related to quality
•           Technical experience background preferred familiarity with machine blueprints, electrical schematics, parts list, shop travelers, quality procedures, electrical test equipment and/or measurement equipment
•           Legible handwriting
•           Ability to perform repetitive tasks
•           Detail oriented Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
