    Supporting Arms Virtual Trainer (SAVT) Instructor/Operator. The SAVT
    has been acquired by the U.S. Marine Corps to advance the training
    capability, operational readiness, and tactical proficiency of Joint
    Terminal Attack Controllers (JTACs), Joint Forward Observers (JFOs),
    and Forward Air Controllers (FACs). The device is used to develop
    training scenarios that require the placement of tactical ordnance on
    selected targets using Joint Close Air Support (JCAS) procedures and
    observed fire procedures for Naval Surface Fire Support (NSFS),
    artillery and mortar fire. The trainers consist of a dome based
    training area and an after action review room which will be located
    in temporary buildings and permanent facilities.
    The Instructor/operator will be responsible for operating the SAVT
    while providing subject matter expertise in Joint Terminal Air
    Controller tactics and procedures. Seeking full-time
    Instructor/Operators at multiple USMC sites, to include MCAS Yuma,
    Camp Lejeune, Kaneohe Bay, and Okinawa, with the following experience:
    • Currently certified or previously certified Forward Air Controller
    (FAC) or Joint Terminal Attack Controller (JTAC) within the last 3
    years.
    • or a former TACP instructor (who has taught within the last 5 years
    • or a former Close Air Support (CAS) pilot (rotary and fixed wing)
    from the Marine Corps (preferred) or the Navy.
    • is computer literate, and with SAVT training, is capable of
    performing the duties of instructor, operator, and Organizational
    Level maintainer.
    On-site Support. Each person located on-site will be trained to be an
    Instructor, Operator, and Organizational Level Maintainer. These
    personnel will support the Government 40 hours per week. The
    Instructor/Operator/Maintainer will have the necessary computer
    systems experience and Supporting Arms Virtual Trainer (SAVT)
    maintenance training to perform unscheduled on-site maintenance that
    supports a SAVT.
