Joint National Training Capability (JNTC) Operations Support Element
(SE) Position
General Position Description:
The JNTC SE assists with JNTC implementation at accredited Service
and Combatant Command joint training programs. The SE provides
direct, on-site, and regional operational support to the joint
training programs, reaching across the Joint Training Environment to
ensure the most current capabilities are available to the training
audience. The SE functions as the Joint Warfighting Center (JWFC)
Field Staff and provides the training programs the joint interface
across the Joint Training Environment that enables the training
programs to obtain the joint context for realistic joint training.
The SE functions as the reach back to the JWFC and a worldwide
network of JNTC personnel at other accredited joint training programs
assisting in the accreditation, certification, and Accreditation
Certification Issues Analysis (ACIA) process and in the planning,
integration, execution, and assessing of joint training events.
Specified Tasks:
1. Training support specialist who acts as the JWFC JNTC
operations and planning representative on site and provides the
bridge and reach back for JWFC and JKDDC support.
2. Primary interface with the JWFC for implementation of the
JNTC program and coordination with the Program Coordinators, Desk
Officers and other members of the joint training enterprise.
3. Supports the designated program’s accreditation,
certification, and ACIA process and assists the program in developing
and monitoring the ACIA plan.
4. Assists the program in aligning multi-Service and
multi-command training objectives and assets to address joint context
requirements for realistic joint training.
5. Performs future training requirement analysis and conceptual
development of future training methods and systems.
6. Participates in the planning, design, development, execution
and assessment of joint training events.
7. Facilitates the collection and documentation of joint context
capability improvement requirements and joint training shortfall
requirements.
8. Facilitates the integration of joint capabilities and joint
context.
9. Assists in developing joint training objectives and joint and
interoperability training requirements.
10. Participates in the collaborative planning process to build the
annual Program Execution Plan and the Program Plan.
11. Assists with joint context shortfall improvements to facilitate
implementation within budget and on time, which ultimately supports
the required need(s) as detailed in the program’s accreditation
report and ACIA plan.
12. Facilitates the collection and documentation of joint
warfighting capability improvement requirements.
13. Supports the integration of joint training technologies into the
host program and assists in coordinating logistics requirements.
14. Provides feedback to the JWFC and supported training program on
support provided to be included in the Weekly Activity Reports, Event
Summary Reports, Quick Look Reports, and input to the News You Can
Use.
Implied Tasks:
1. Participates in Joint Event Life Cycle (JELC) events for
broadening joint context.
2. Assists Program submission of capabilities, requirements and
shortfalls to the JWFC.
3. Provides supported program the capabilities the JWFC can provide.
4. Provides input into the supported program’s Joint Training and
Exercise Program.
5. Provides inputs into JWFC joint training procedures and
documents.
6. Identifies gaps in the host training program planning process and
how that process links or does not link with the JWFC.
7. Incorporates the elements of the joint training system into the
development of the host training program and training events.
8. Establishes effective lines of communication with appropriate
JFCOM and JWFC personnel who may interface with host training program.
9. Establishes effective lines of communication with other JNTC SE
personnel and training specialists throughout the joint training
community.
10. Provides administrative and logistical support for JFCOM and
JWFC visits.
11. Facilitates information exchange between the host program and
the JWFC.
12. Keeps the JWFC informed on all issues concerning the SE position
at the host program.
13. Coordinates efforts and activities with other JFCOM personnel
(Tech SE, JFCOM LNO and others) at the site.

The US Naval Academy will be conducting briefs in San Diego on 10,
11, and 12 May 2010.
They will be at Camp Pendleton on 13 May 2010 and at Naval Base
Ventura County on 14 May 2010.
Target audience are Sailors and Marines between 17-22 years of age.
If you have a student and are considering the US Naval Academy this
would be an
excellent opportunity to get valuable information on the application
and
admission process. Some of the basic requirements to apply are:
United States
citizen; Good moral character; At least 17 and not past 23rd birthday
on 1 July
of the year entering the academy; Unmarried; Not pregnant and No
dependents.
