    PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
    The CV-SHARP Business Analyst provides broad, in-depth services to
    Naval Aviation Aircraft Carriers and Commander Naval Air Forces
    (CNAF) by maximizing and enhancing use of application functionality
    as a training management system (TMS).  Specific duties include:
    •        Work independently on assigned task-oriented projects; make
    presentations, draw conclusions, make recommendations for policy

    Lead the system analysis for optical communication systems, including

    conditions; develop models to combat atmospheric scintillations and
    maximize SNR and connectivity; develop optical scanning/tracking
    systems for hand held optical communications; conduct system test,
    both in the lab and in the field; analyze data and prepare report.

    Mental/Physical Requirements:
    Must be able to work in the electro-optics lab. Must be able to use
    optical equipment to make accurate measurements and advise any
    changes/upgrades needed to do so.

    Education/Experience Requirements:
    PhD or MS in Mechanical Engineering or Physics with an emphasis in
    optical system design and packaging. Seven years of experience with a
    PhD degree and ten years of experience with an MS degree in
    industrial design. Experience in digital communications and/or
    channel coding, with emphasis on algorithms for sequence estimation.
    Experience with simulation tools including Simulink/Matlab preferred.
