    SGIS Opportunity, San Diego, CA, Security Assistant II

    We are seeking a Security Assistant II to support the security department of SGIS. The Security Assistant II will focus on completing tasks in accordance with the National Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM). Provide support with clearance processing, clearance verifications and visit certifications. Provide guidance and assistance to facility personnel and interface with the Defense Security Service (DSS) and government clients on behalf of the FSO. Help client staff to submit the necessary paperwork for clearance processing. Provide assistance with presenting collateral read-on, travel, briefings and debriefings.

    Primary Responsibilities:

     

    ·        Will facilitate daily operations and ensure compliance with established security processes, procedures and standards.

    ·        Will assist in the administration and execution of a strong security program in compliance with the NISPOM, NISPOM Supplements, DoD 5105.21-M-1, COMSEC Manual 90-1, DCIDs and associated corporate and government policies and directives.

    ·        The Security Representative will use JPAS, e-QIP, ACAVS and other security software in the performance of assigned duties and assist with required self inspections of security programs. 

    ·        Will be responsible for preparing assessments involving possible security violations and initiating measures to correct security deficiencies.

    ·        Will assist with preparing and issuing DD254s and provide input/review of RFPs as required. 

    ·        Will assist in the processing of personnel clearances, special access requests and other personnel clearance actions. 

    ·        Will assist and back up current FSO’s and SGIS Security department with any and all security related tasks including maintaining database, updating JPAS, visit requests, clearance verifications, responding to inquires, being on call, training, briefings, office security, etc.


    Requirements/Qualifications Needed:

    ·        2+ years experience with Personnel or industrial security required

    ·        This position requires US citizenship and MUST have an active DoD Secret or Top Secret Security Clearance

    ·        Knowledge of DoD security clearance forms and processes including NISPOM Supplement, DoD 5105.21-M-1,       COMSEC Manual 90-1, DCIDs and associated government policies and directives strongly desired.

    ·        Ability to operate standard DoD security clearance databases and tools, including JPAS, JCAVS, and eQIP

    ·        Ability to show completion of DSS courses preferred

    ·        Ability to work independently using a high level of discretion in situations with possible significant impact if    performed poorly

    ·        Must have excellent judgment and follow up skills

    ·        Must be motivated, organized, detail oriented and accurate, able to communicate effectively with all levels of staff  and handle several tasks at one time

    ·        Proficiency in Microsoft Office to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook, is required

    ·        Be able to relocate (not paid by company) or reside in San Diego, CA to work M-F/9-6 in Corporate Office.

    PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    The CV-SHARP Business Analyst provides broad, in-depth services to Naval Aviation Aircraft Carriers and Commander Naval Air Forces (CNAF) by maximizing and enhancing use of application functionality as a training management system (TMS).  Specific duties include:

    ·        Work independently on assigned task-oriented projects; make presentations, draw conclusions, make recommendations for policy execution.

    ·        Dataflow Monitoring - Acts as operational analyst for CV-SHARP usage; monitors fleet inputs and usage, looks for shortfalls or anomalies and works with Fleet, CNAF Assistant Chief of Staff for Carrier Readiness (N7) and InnovaSystems to correct as necessary.

    ·        Prepare and present programs to a wide variety of customer types.

    ·        Support CNAF N7.  Coordinates, analyzes, and recommend solutions to CV SHARP and carrier readiness related issues and initiatives.  Drafts Strategic Objectives/Initiatives and CONOPS for N7 approval.

    ·        Analyzes carrier performance in CV SHARP and develop metrics to monitor both training and readiness standards and actual ship performance. Participates in strategic, tactical, and operational level planning and management studies.  Participates in studies and assessments.  Analyzes metrics and provides reports and recommendations to subject matter experts.

    MAJOR OR EQUIVALENT YEARS EXPERIENCE:

    Minimum Experience: 

    ·        4 years of professional experience in relevant business or technical field with graduate degree in Operations Analysis, Systems Analysis, Operations Research, or other related field.

    ·        8 years of professional experience in relevant business or technical field with bachelor’s degree   Operations Analysis, Systems Analysis, Operations Research, or other related field.

    ·        Program management experience desirable.

    ·        Full understanding of the data flow from the entry point on the CVN to the display in DRRS-N and is able to analysis the flow and accuracy of Training Readiness data at all points in the data pipeline.

    ·        Extensive background in Naval Carrier Training, specifically, Training and Readiness management.  In-depth knowledge of CV-SHARP, ADW, NTIMS, and DRRS-N.

    Exceptional communications skills including briefing senior executive customers required. Must be able to work collaboratively with a team to support capture and proposal activities while highlighting DSE discriminators and strengths and targeting identifiable weakness of competitors. Analytical skills are essential, as is the ability to motivate others and provide leadership to accomplish team goals without having direct authority over team members.

Provide notification to the C&A community of program issues according to established CA guidelines.     Skills
