Honoring the Fallen, a note from Wayne

Greetings all.  Happy Thursday to everyone.  Is Spring here yet!!

As the News blasts and broadcasts the petty issues of this or that “so-called celebrity” let us note that in addition to our other fallen Troops, the below listed Marines gave their lives this week:

                           Justin Allen 23,
                           Brett Linley 29,
                           Matthew Weikert 29,
                           Justus Bartett 27,
                           Dave Santos 21,
                           Jesse Reed 26,
                           Matthew Johnson 21,
                           Zachary Fisher 24,
                           Brandon King 23,
                           Christopher Goeke 23,
                           Sheldon Tate 27

There is no media for them. Not even a mention of their names.  Pretty sad ………  May these Dear Souls rest in eternal peace.

    - Attached is a flyer regarding a "Gold Star Wives" Conference. Please pass it along.

    - The journey after military service can be a difficult one. If you are Veteran in crisis or know of one who is, please call our 24/7 Suicide Prevention Line at 1–800–273–TALK (8255) to speak with our trained counselors, or find a Crisis Center near you.

Prayers and blessings for you and your loved ones and for our faithful Troops and their loved ones everywhere.

    Sincerely...................Wayne

DOD Welcome home-small.jpg

A welcoming home for our Troops.

Welcoming home our men and women doesn't end after the crowd disperses, it MUST continue on for the life of the Veteran! They've served us, now we will serve them with programs that work so they reintegrate into society.

We are a national public benefit nonprofit organization that educates American Communities about best practices to serve Veterans.  We honor their service by empowering Veterans to apply their training and skills to successfully transition to productive careers and enterprises.

We provide free vocational training 24/7 to all of our members through our website, in addition to local events.  We believe the tenet that American Communities are the ultimate beneficiaries when Veterans claim their benefits and invest in productive endeavors.

The SWVBRC enlists the support of members of local Communities like you to increase Veteran awareness of the value of obtaining a VA card and receiving earned benefits.

Sponsorships, donations, volunteers and support from communities like yours enable us to reach out to Veterans and empower them to transition back into successful, productive enterprises that ultimately benefit all Americans and support future generations.
