Different experiences in my life have led me to beleive and see success in commraderie. If we, as Learners, can begin to effectivley communicate, meet, and strive towards common goals nothing but success lies ahead. I want to encourage all of my fellow Learners to brainstorm different times, dates, and ideas on how we can support each other in every way possible. We all have worn the uniform as fellow and former service members, defenders of freedom, and more importantly, a band of brothers. Let us rally on this common ground and support each other in any and every way possible.

One idea I expressed to Al was a virtual chatroom we could all log onto at a set time during the week. Anyone else feel this could be beneficial?

Great idea Dan. We all need to begin to learn how to use each others talents and abilities to leverage each other onwards and upwords. We just have to really begin to see each other as a valuable resource that we can use and learn from.

Another great idea Dan. I think this would make it much easier to begin to get all the learners into the loop and picking each others brains!

We are all brothers and sisters serving humanity, each in our own particular and special ways.  Although some of us have served our country as military personnel, and some have not, we each have something to contribute.  Volunteering and one-on-one conversation about philosophically and politically relevant topics are good ways to improve our own, and others', understanding of life.  I honor and respect all veterans.  Those who have served America by wearing the uniform are, in my opinion, the most honorable of all Americans.  Thank you, Veterans, for serving our country.

DOD Welcome home-small.jpg A welcoming home for our Troops.

Welcoming home our men and women doesn't end after the crowd disperses, it MUST continue on for the life of the Veteran! They've served us, now we will serve them with programs that work so they reintegrate into society.

We are a national public benefit nonprofit organization that educates American Communities about best practices to serve Veterans.  We honor their service by empowering Veterans to apply their training and skills to successfully transition to productive careers and enterprises.

We provide free vocational training 24/7 to all of our members through our website, in addition to local events.  We believe the tenet that American Communities are the ultimate beneficiaries when Veterans claim their benefits and invest in productive endeavors.

The SWVBRC enlists the support of members of local Communities like you to increase Veteran awareness of the value of obtaining a VA card and receiving earned benefits.

Sponsorships, donations, volunteers and support from communities like yours enable us to reach out to Veterans and empower them to transition back into successful, productive enterprises that ultimately benefit all Americans and support future generations.
