    Position Description

    ·        Designs, develops, operates, and maintains software and firmware components and computing systems software to be applied to and integrated with engineering, scientific, and manufacturing requirements.

    ·        Applies the appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the system development life cycle to support the generation of such engineering applications and products such as laboratory simulation systems, airplane flight control and display systems, avionics, mechanical and electrical systems, weapons armament, commercial and military aircraft systems, mobile and ground-based defense systems, space systems, and other systems and applications of this nature.

    ·        Interfaces with customers, suppliers, application users, and other technical and support personnel.

    The responsibilities of this position are focused on performing and leading a professional structured system design in the modeling and simulation arena, including: requirements analysis, design trade studies, product tree development, system/software architecture diagram development, data-flow diagram development, system state definition, computing system architecture, component identification, requirements allocations, etc.

    Desired Skills and Experience

    ·        Prior experience in the application of digital mission simulations of military operations a plus (e.g. EADSIM, JIMM, ESAMS, JSAF, etc.).

    ·        Experience with the Man Tactical Simulation test venue environment is a plus.

    ·        Military operations analysis experience in a system engineering environment strongly desired.

    Specific Qualifications

    ·        Candidate must have strong technical and analytical skills; including experience performing trade studies & design of experiments.

    ·        Previous experience with simulation and analyzes of military operations is critical.

    ·        Good written and oral communication skills are essential.

    ·        Must have experience with designing visualization and briefing systems that include data collection and playback systems for real-time simulations for tactical combat and theater-level simulations with overall insight into simulation modeling.

    ·        Must have experience developing architectural designs for tactical simulation modeling environments. Experience should include familiarity with network-centric, interoperable simulation design, including DIS protocol, HLA protocol, control of simulation federates, and system-of-systems networked designs that entail storage systems, remote boot, LAN, WAN, and Virtual network segregation.

    ·        Must have ability to work with model development teams to perform detailed trade studies for model fidelity selection, prototype turnaround time, model modularity design, and model interface designs that support system and software architectures for rapid-prototyping simulations.

    ·        Must have experience with the Man Tactical Simulation test venue environment.

    ·        Good written and oral communication skills are essential.

    ·        Experience should include familiarity with network-centric, interoperable simulation design, including DIS protocol, HLA protocol, control of simulation federates, and system-of-systems networked designs that entail storage systems, remote boot, LAN, WAN, and Virtual network segregation.

    ·        Must have experience in performing system design and integration of large-scale, real-time, man-in-the-loop, tactical simulation systems. These systems include cockpits, I/O systems, out-the-window visual systems, graphics/image generators, helmet mounted display systems, aural cueing systems, ownship models, weapons models, computer generated forces, etc.

    Educational Requirements

    BS degree or better in engineering, mathematics, computer science, physics, system engineering or operations research or equivalent experience/combined education, with 14 years or more of professional experience; or 12 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree.     D.  Job # TZ-0935202, Senior Java Application Developer (CONUS-TX), Houston, TX

    Position Description

    This role will be mainly supporting the critical analytical Java Swing and J2EE applications currently in a production environment. This role is responsible for enhancing/improving/integrating existing applications as per business needs.

    You will be analyzing and creating new batches in the existing system to scrape any new data and also supporting various tools that will host this data. In addition, this role will be working directly with all divisions of the business ranging from technology, front office traders, trading support, risk control, Mid Office to back office accounting and settlement operations in support of the end solution.

    We are looking for an active team member(s), who have good communications skills. The person should be comfortable working in high pressure environment, sometimes quick turnaround is expected in couple of hours. This role is expected to provide trading support to traders/analysts during trading hours by supporting strategic analytical application from 6:30 AM - 3:30 PM CST at least one week per month and should be willing to be available on call on a rotation basis within the team. Attention to detail should be excellent as should their ability to see 'the bigger picture'. The ideal candidates enjoy working in a product support environment.

    Desired Skills and Experience

    ·        Experience with maven, spring, Spring MVC and WebLogic are a major plus.

    ·        Experience with security - digital certificates is a plus.

    ·        C# and/or C++ experience is a plus – if you have this experience, please list # of years.

    ·        Any experience developing front-office applications using Java Swing for an investment bank or commodity trading organization.

    ·        Experience of scripting languages such as Perl, general Unix shell scripting is a plus.
