Orientation Blog Entry

    Hello Fellow Learners!

There seems to be a bit of confusion concerning exactly what each of us should write for the Orientation Blog entry.  I know that I didn't do it right, as I have my first two chapters mostly reversed.

To make up for my gaffe, I figured that I should do some remedial training.

I would recommend that each of us start the Orientation chapter of our blog with a brief introduction (keeping in mind that you will probably be going more indepth in the followon chapter "Who am I").   You can fill in about 4 pages (Double Spaced) of information, which equates to about one page per hour of the Orientation.

Next, write about who or what drew you to the Fallbrook Southwest Veterans Business Resource Center where communities serve veterans.  Expand on this by writing about what you expected the Center to do for you.   Were your expectations met?

Then write a bit about how you were introduced to the "14 Levels of Re-Integration" program and why you chose to dedicate yourself to our mission of eliminating homeless veterans by 2035.

You can then expand on the details of the 14 step re-integration profile, conduct a SWOT analysis on yourself. (SWOT = Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats).  (Google SWOT and you can use one of the many web pages that provide the SWOT matrix and explainations.)

Discuss the various business models that Albert Renteria developed to assist us in our endeavors.   You might want to write about your interpretations of the Elephant (chess moves), the 3 pillars of business, the tile to carpet philosophy, the science of the hunch/domain of the brain and various other aspects.

Keep in mind that both positive and negative aspects of the orientation are needed so that the process can be improved upon.

Each of us can learn more about the process by reading the Learners Blogs.  We will generate more interest in our communities as be build a dialog between each other by making comments, to include asking follow on questions of each other.

Thank you all for your service!  Type on.  Feel free to ask me questions on line, here or in the Blogs, or off line to my email address jeffrey.backus@yahoo.com .

To aid others in "finding" our blogs using search engines like Google, yahoo, dogpile ect make sure you use several "KEY WORDS" and phrases.

    a.  Fallbrook Southwest Veterans Business Resource Center

    b.  where communities serve veterans

    c.  Albert Renteria or Al Renteria

    d.  Homeless Veteran

DOD Welcome home-small.jpg A welcoming home for our Troops.

Welcoming home our men and women doesn't end after the crowd disperses, it MUST continue on for the life of the Veteran! They've served us, now we will serve them with programs that work so they reintegrate into society.

We are a national public benefit nonprofit organization that educates American Communities about best practices to serve Veterans.  We honor their service by empowering Veterans to apply their training and skills to successfully transition to productive careers and enterprises.

We provide free vocational training 24/7 to all of our members through our website, in addition to local events.  We believe the tenet that American Communities are the ultimate beneficiaries when Veterans claim their benefits and invest in productive endeavors.

The SWVBRC enlists the support of members of local Communities like you to increase Veteran awareness of the value of obtaining a VA card and receiving earned benefits.

Sponsorships, donations, volunteers and support from communities like yours enable us to reach out to Veterans and empower them to transition back into successful, productive enterprises that ultimately benefit all Americans and support future generations.
