    25th Annual
International Technology & Persons with Disabilities Conference

The 25th Annual International Conference on Technology and Persons with Disabilities has concluded and the staff at the Center on Disabilities would like to thank you for your participation.

This year's conference included a series of memorable events...from Captain Ivan Castro's inspiring Keynote Address at the Welcome Reception to the premiere of our new venue in San Diego where we celebrated our Silver Anniversary and marked additional highlights. This year more than 4,000 researchers, educators, practitioners, end users, speakers, and exhibitors gathered together to share research data, best practices, and preview new products and applications. All this and more has made this an incredible year for the CSUN conference.

We invite you to continue to follow the conference happenings throughout the year via our Facebook and Twitter pages and look forward to enjoying your posts and experiences.

In conference surveys, participants have lauded the outstanding experts who shared their knowledge in more than 275 speaker sessions. Some participants even remarked that this may have been the best CSUN conference. If you haven't had a chance to complete the conference survey, please visit your conference Notebook and select "Event Feedback Form". Sharing your feedback and conference experience with us is important as we begin preparations for the 2011 Conference.

We look forward to next year's conference to be held March 14-19, 2011 and returning to the Manchester Grand Hyatt in San Diego and gathering together for another opportunity to further disseminate research and share practitioner knowledge in the field of assistive technology.

    Regards,

    Sandy Plotin

DOD Welcome home-small.jpg A welcoming home for our Troops.

Welcoming home our men and women doesn't end after the crowd disperses, it MUST continue on for the life of the Veteran! They've served us, now we will serve them with programs that work so they reintegrate into society.

We are a national public benefit nonprofit organization that educates American Communities about best practices to serve Veterans.  We honor their service by empowering Veterans to apply their training and skills to successfully transition to productive careers and enterprises.

We provide free vocational training 24/7 to all of our members through our website, in addition to local events.  We believe the tenet that American Communities are the ultimate beneficiaries when Veterans claim their benefits and invest in productive endeavors.

The SWVBRC enlists the support of members of local Communities like you to increase Veteran awareness of the value of obtaining a VA card and receiving earned benefits.

Sponsorships, donations, volunteers and support from communities like yours enable us to reach out to Veterans and empower them to transition back into successful, productive enterprises that ultimately benefit all Americans and support future generations.
