What you will learn:

 Learn the basics of marketing and selling your products and services to federal, state and local government agencies.

What does it take to become a successful government contractor? Learn about the services and continuous support that the Washington Procurement Technical Assistance Center (PTAC) has available to help your company with the contracting process.

During this class we will discuss:

·         Market Research: Does government buy what you sell? How, when, and who do they buy from?

·         Classifying your Product or Service (NAICS and SIC Codes)

·         Getting Registered: SAM, Dynamic Small Business Search

·         Small Business Programs and certifications: Set-asides, Small Business, Small Disadvantaged Business, 8(a), Veteran Owned, etc.

·         Finding Opportunities

·         Basic Terminology

 

This is a great opportunity to learn how to get ready for the government procurement market.
