The New Year 2011, begins with Julie Ann Padilla, Director and her team for the Riverside Community College District Procurement Assistance Center, providing a three hour workshop on:

“Understanding the Federal Government Acquisition Process”

The federal government business practice is different of the commercial business practices. In order to be successful in the federal market you need to understand how the federal government buys. In this three-hour class, you will learn how to use the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), understand the bids announcements and solicitation (Request for Proposal).

This free workshop is designed to encourage and support small businesses interested in obtaining federal contracts, learn more about contracting opportunities, the procurement process and resources available.

Background & Business Activities

The Procurement Assistance Center (PAC) is a cooperative agreement between the Defense Logistic Agency (DLA) and the Riverside Community College District (RCC).

The PAC is the only federally authorized Procurement Assistance Center (PTAC) providing its services to Riverside and San Bernardino Counties.

The PAC provides important resource information and procurement training to businesses seeking to market their goods and services to federal, state and local government. These complimentary services include counseling, assistance with registrations and certifications; identify opportunities through bid matching and informative workshop.

The mission of the PAC is increase the number of qualified suppliers to government entities, reduce cost to government entities and develop job opportunities.
